Golden Globe Awards 2021, questo è il nostro unico pensiero al momento. Non sempre però siamo stati soddisfatti del risultato. Una cosa è certa, la promessa di Ricky Gervais è stata mantenuta quando l’anno scorso aveva dchiarato: «Ma questa è davvero l’ultima volta che lo faccio» e infatti non sarà lui a condurre la cerimonia virtuale dei Golden Globe Awards 2021. L’anno scorso ci siamo divertiti a votare i 5 peggiori look dei Golden Globe Awards 2020 e chissà quest’anno come verremo sorpresi (dato che la cerimonia si svolgerà online). Una cosa è certa, il panorama è notevolmente cambiato rispetto allo scorso anno dove venivano annunciate altre nomination come Mr. Robot.

La Hollywood Foreign Press ha appena annunciato i candidati ai Golden Globe Awards 2021. L’annuncio virtuale è stato presentato da Sarah Jessica Parker e Taraji P. Henson. Le nomination comprendono varie categorie del cinema e della televisione. L’anno scorso le nomination includevano film come 1917, Marriage Story, Joker, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood e Knives Out, oltre a show televisivi come Succession, Big Little Lies, The Morning Show, Fleabag e Barry.

La 78esima edizione dei Golden Globe Awards si terrà il 28 febbraio, data precedentemente occupata dagli Academy Awards del 2021. Tina Fey e Amy Poehler torneranno a condurre la cerimonia, avendo già ospitato insieme nel 2013, 2014 e 2015. Poche ore prima che le nomination fossero svelate, tuttavia, è stato annunciato che Fey e Poehler condurranno in luoghi diversi. Per la prima volta nella storia assisteremo ad una conduzione “bicostale”, con Fey alla Rainbow Room di New York City e Poehler al Beverly Hilton.

Jane Fonda riceverà il Cecil B. DeMille Award all’evento, mentre Norman Lear riceverà il Carol Burnett Award. Satchel e Jackson Lee – la figlia e il figlio di Spike Lee e della produttrice Tonya Lewis Lee – saranno gli ambasciatori dei Golden Globe Awards di quest’anno.
